The Beverley Big Band is generally acknowledged to be the most experienced Dance Orchestra in the region, after over 15 years of playing for a large variety of functions as well as organising regular “Dance Parties” of our own at the Westgate Hall in Canterbury.
With a large library of over 400 orchestrations, we can tailor the music we play to most types of function, especially 40′s, Ballroom, Latin and Jive, Rock and Old Time, and we can also prepare a varied concert programme.
There are now 22 musicians involved, under the direction of John Myhill, and our regularly featured singer Stevie.
The band is available for hire at any time of the year and will consider any type of engagement, from Weddings to Wakes, Birthdays to Bar mitzvahs, Dinners and Dances. (Actually, we’ve never done a Bar mitzvah).
